NEXUS - NEXPRESS

Once you have become a NEXUS member you are qualified to apply for a NEXPRESS® pass. The process is simple: just complete and submit the NEXPRESS application with a photocopy of your NEXUS ID card. The NEXPRESS application is available at the Detroit-Windsor tunnel tollbooths or you can download it below.

NEXUS

Cross often? Make it simple, use NEXUS. NEXUS is a joint customs and immigration program for frequent travelers that both the Canadian and American governments have implemented. The NEXUS program is designed to simplify border crossings for pre-approved, low-risk travelers.

NEXPRESS

Simply put, NEXPRESS® is the fast, convenient way for frequent border travelers to cross the American and Canadian border using the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. As a NEXPRESS pass holder, you’ll take advantage of dedicated lanes, express toll lanes and speedy, expedited crossing service.

Find NEXPRESS Lanes

Now that you have your NEXPRESS® pass, you just need to know where to go. We’ve made sure NEXPRESS lanes are clearly identified, so just look for the NEXPRESS signage as you approach the tunnel. These signs will direct you to the appropriate NEXPRESS lane(s).

Occasionally, we make changes and improvements to the NEXPRESS lanes to help expedite your crossing.

Attention All NEXPRESS Travelers

Have your hangtag visibly mounted from the rear view mirror. The hangtag is transferable between vehicles, but any vehicle used for crossing must be pre-registered with the NEXUS program.

All occupants of the vehicle must be enrolled in the NEXUS program and have proper identification and follow all program guidelines.

Please restrict your toll transactions to token purchases and use of tokens only. Have your fare ready to speed-up your and everyone’s tunnel travel.
